Is it safe to rent a vacation home in NYC through Craiglist?
I found really nice vacation homes on craiglist, better options and prices than on homeaway or vrbo. However I am a little worried about the reliability of the listings. What do you think, safe or not? http://newyork.craigslist.org/vac/ Also the apartments go from $420- 840/week on craiglist for one or two bedroom apartments... Does anybody have experience with Roomorama.com?
I am looking to rent a vacation home in NYC and have recently found this website, which seems to be able to protect me from scammers - I'd pay the full stay to roomorama, and they'll only release the payment to the host once I've checked in. Did anyone use them before? Is it a good, reliable service?
