Main places of interest:
Manhattan
Times Square
Brooklyn Bridge
Statue of Liberty
Empire State
Central Park
Museum of Metropolitan Art
Should I look out for hotel(affordable..apprx $150/night) close to JFK or in Jersey City,NJ ?
Using public transport is it easier & cheaper from JFK or Jersey city to get to manhattan and surrounding areas for sight seeing.
Kindly suggest me some best/easy ways to go around

NYC sights to see question?
I am going to the city for the week just before Christmas. I will be staying in Mid-Town and off course will be hitting all the major attractions (Statue of Liberty, the Met, Museum of Natural History, Ground Zero, NY Public Library, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and such).
Can you give me a list of other MUST SEE sights while I am there? This will be my first trip there so I want to see all I can! Also, for those in the know, some time ago I saw a show on the Travel Channel about a pizza place there that still uses coal ovens and it is supposed to be the best there is anywhere. Anyone know the name of it and the address?
Thanks.
Actually, after extensive research... I found a great web-site that list all the great sights!

But, I would still like opinions on any of your "Must See" destinations.

I'm looking for off-the-beaten-path NYC sights I can visit late at night.?
I know the basics -- Times Square, Washington Square Park -- so I'm looking for something more unique. My biggest interest is a nice environment, a place to relax and enjoy scenery, that's open as late as possible (24/7 would be extra awesome). Looking for a public place to chill, not a commercial place to drink or party.
