A Great Getaway Deal
"So where are you going to get away to this year guys?" I enthusiastically asked my colleagues during the tea break.
Surprisingly, the general consensus seemed to be that they were going to put their plans on hold this year as they were worried about general economic circumstances and the affordability of holidays. Now this surprised me somewhat, as these self same guys were always the ones who seemed to live for their weekends and breaks away from work, so to see them give up on the best feature of their year seemed somehow incongruous to meI decided to look into holidays, prices and what deals there were to be had, as I for one, was certainly NOT going to miss out this year.
As my enquiries progressed, I found that there were actually a great number of short breaks available at decent and compelling prices; the ones that caught my eye though were the Beach Deals. For me, being on a hot and sunny beach epitomised the whole point of a holiday and looking at the beach deals on offer I knew that I had struck holiday gold.
Looking into these beach deals further, I was happy to find that the criteria, timings and prices all suited me to a tee. I personally like to arrange my holidays around my own preferences and these beach deals allowed me to do just that.
I love to get away slightly off season, to get away from the crowds by avoiding the school holidays; I like to construct the lowest possible priced and best value holiday by being able to book accommodation and flights separately and I like to have a decent choice of destinations and even be given some suggestions.
Well, happily all of these criteria and more were perfectly fulfilled on the website offering these beach deals: I could get away in the optimum un-crowded' periods of May, June and others later in the year; I could book my accommodation separately and by doing all of this, I could get 7 nights on a beach holiday in a variety of sunny European destinations such as Majorca, Menorca, Lanzarote, Cyprus, Gran Canaria and many more, all for under 99now that really was a Beach Deal!
So there I was, all set and good to go. I naturally told my colleagues all about my findings and left them to it; but anyone who works all year NEEDS to get away and I knew that one thing was a certainty; whatever they decidedcome May or June, I was going to be biggin it up' for a week on a sandy beach in the hot sun!
Best sites for European getaway deals and/or air fares?
I love francevaccations.net and go-today.com I used to be able to get special fare alerts for europe from american airline directly, now they only do domestic on the service I used.
Does anyone have a favorite bargain hunting site for euro-travel deals or airfare. Tell me about it , or give other bargain savy tips.

Live in Jersey, am a single gal- need to get away to somewhere cheap/tropical for cheap. Any ideas??
I desperately need a 3-4 day mini vacation, somewhere when the sun is warm and the water is blue, and relatively cheap. I want to go w/ a gal pal, just to chill and get some serious r and r. Neither of us have tons of money to do this, but we have some stashed. Anyone know of any cheap getaway deals, or ideas, (Oh, we're 2 heterosexual women in our lower thirties)?
